Hi, I am Jodi D. Wood your candidate for Alachua County School Board District 3. 

I would like a moment of your time to introduce myself.  I am a lifetime resident of Gainesville with substantial family and business ties to the community.  I have substantial work experience in private business, public service, and financial services.  I need your vote so that I may serve 4 years as your school board representative.

Our kids are the future of our society and our country.  During this time of recession throughout our country we have budget cuts everywhere.  We must be very cautious of this when we look at our schools.  There are always ways of tightening budgets without sacrificing our children’s education.  I must point out to you that my wife and I have 5 young children who are just entering the school system and it is my dedication to them and everyone of the more than 27,000 students in Alachua county to see that we have the best educational system that we can provide for them.
